4.6 Diagnostics Menu
This menu item contains commands that let you perform diagnostic operations on the physical disk drives. |

4.6.1 Diagnostics - Flash Disk Light |
|
|
|
 |
Use this command to flash the red LED for a specified disk in the Smart Can disk enclosure. This is useful for physically locating a specific disk. |
|
|
|
To Flash a Disk Light:
Use the mouse to select a disk.
From the Diagnostics menu, choose Flash Disk Lights.
The red LED on the chosen disk will begin to flash. Click the OK button on the screen to stop the flashing. |

4.6.2 Diagnostics - Power Up Disk |
|
|
|
This command is useful for restoring power to a disk that was shut down. |
|
|
|
To Power Up a Disk:
Use the mouse to select the disk you want to power up.
From the Diagnostics menu, choose Power Up Disk.
A Message Box will appear confirming that the disk has been powered up. |
