4.3.3 Configure - Break Mirror
Use this command to break apart a disk level Mirrored Set
Use the mouse to select either of the two disks that are members of the disk level Mirrored Set you wish to break..
From the RAIDZONE menu select Configure and then select the Break Mirror submenu.
The RAIDZONE Administrator program will then ask for confirmation before dissolving the Mirrored Set.
In order for the secondary member to become visible again to the operating system, a reboot is required.
When you establish a Disk Level Mirror, RAIDZONE hides the secondary member from the operating system. When you break the Mirror, a system reboot is required so that RAIDZONE can unhide the secondary disk. If one of the members of the Mirrored Set is in an unhealthy state when you decided to break the mirror, RAIDZONE selects the healthy member as the disk with the valid data. |
